Hello! I’m Neil Caines

(Co-owner and founder of Train Together)

I have been a Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor on and off for the last 28 years. I trained as a full-time Physical Education Instructor in the Prison Service in 1988 and began Personal Training in 1994. Throughout my career, I have enjoyed being a coach for a range of sports including Football, Rugby, Badminton, Gymnastics and Swimming. In 1988 I started playing Volleyball and went on to coach a National Ladies Volleyball team for 4 years.

Having taken early retirement in 2012 – I decided to pursue my fitness dream and started work as a full time Personal Trainer. I spent the first year with my head in books and on courses such as our Level 2 Gym Instructor and Level 3 Personal Trainer courses, realising that a lot of the “new” training systems being touted are actually old with new names. I worked for myself and a number of gyms, both as a Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor… But I quickly realised that I was more suited to being my own boss!

I am a qualified Level 4 Instructor teaching Boxercise, Kettlebells, Circuits, HIIT, Bootcamps, Core and Strength training programmes such as my Muscle Up course.

As well as my class teaching I also specialise in Lower Back Pain Management and Treatment. I analyse, treat and manage all aspects of lower back pain.

As a fully qualified Exercise Referral trainer myself and my partner Sarah can take referrals from local GP’s and/or Physiotherapists.

I also trained and specialise in Working with Older Adults.
