Cake, Coffee, Crunches and Curls
Come along to Train Together’s Macmillan Coffee Morning to eat cake, have fun and raise money for a fantastic cause!
At Train Together we love raising money for charity. Last month we supported our local hospital and raised an impressive £210. Read more about what we got up to here. We also love cake. In fact, we love it as much as you do. Just asking our trainers this morning what’s their favourite and all the big names were mentioned… Lemon drizzle, coffee and walnut, carrot with cream cheese icing and, of course, big fat chocolate fudge (just because we work in a gym doesn’t mean we don’t indulge)! If we could eat cake for charity we would be in our element. So, naturally, a Macmillan Coffee Morning suits us down to a cup of tea!
On Friday 25th and Saturday 26th September we will be joining forces with Urban Attic in Lancaster to bring you an extra special event in aid of Macmillan Cancer Care. This will be no ordinary coffee morning – there will be coffee, there will be tea and there will be PLENTY of cake. However, we wouldn’t be a very good gym if we let you all just sit around stuffing your face (it might motivate some people to get back into the gym though!). We’ve decided that it’s time to earn your cake! We’re having a ‘work it to eat it’ coffee morning, so don’t forget to bring your gym kit and prepare to get a sweat on for a cupcake. How far are you prepared to go to have your cake and eat it?
Our fabulous team of staff and members are all set dusting off their baking tins, washing their pinnies and perfecting their butter cream icing. Some of us are trying to keep things healthy(ish) with a signature banana loaf, others are going all out with heartache Mars Bar crispy slice. Whatever happens, we will have a gym full of cake and we’ll need your help getting through it!
