Survey Results are in!

Here are our recent survey results hot from the Train Together office!

Over the past month our members have taken time out of training to fill out our survey – a huge thank you to everybody who filled one out. Here, we have put together a blog post to give you an overview of the survey results: including what you love most about Train Together, which classes are your favourite and how we will improve our gym in 2016 as a direct result of your feedback.

What you love…

If you have never been to Train Together, we are a small personal training studio with heaps of support, equipment and good fun. All of our classes are run by fully qualified Level 3 Personal Trainers, giving you the highest quality training at the best price. When asked what makes Train Together unique from other gyms, our members highlighted our small classes, our ideal location (the only gym this far south of the town centre!) and our free parking.

Many of you also took the time to share some encouraging feedback with us, too – here are a few of the best! Thanks guys! (For real-life testimonials, don’t miss last week’s Fitness Transformations blog).

“Thank you all for your support over the last 12 months you are all really FAB!” … “Really enjoy coming to the gym, it has inspired me to get fit.” … “Really enjoy the classes, all of the trainers are fantastic and I like the smaller feel to classes as it feels more personal.” … “Really like the gym, classes and instructors. Enjoying the gym more that I have in years.” … “Love the gym, especially the small classes. Your sessions are timed so I can fit them around work and home.” … “Very happy with the classes I’m doing, and your location (only 10 mins walk away for me) is a huge plus-point.” … “Love the friendly, encouraging atmosphere.”

What you enjoy…

Surprisingly, there was a fairly equal split across your favourite classes (check out our time table, here) – some of you prefer mat-based Classy Core and others enjoy fast-paced Circuits. We pride ourselves on our variety, and we’re pleased that everybody has found a class that suits them. Statistically, out on top was Boot Camp winning over 15% of votes, closely followed by HIIT (14%), Kettlebells (12%), Weight Lifting (11%) and Boxercise (10%). It has been really helpful learning about what you enjoy most and what you want more of, especially with brand new classes on the way next month!

What you want…

Our survey revealed that 22% of you are early birds (some joining us for Julie’s Boot Camp as early as 6am!), whereas a staggering 64% prefer working out in an evening. As our evening classes are increasingly becoming more popular, we are now introducing up to 7 evening classes to split the load and without compromising our small 1-2-1 sessions – happy days! You also told us you want our new classes to be between 30-45 minutes long – consider it done!

When asked what sort of extra classes you want to see at our gym, many of you requested Spinning. If you’re not sure what Spinning is… It’s a form of indoor cycling, perfect for members who want a motivating, cardio-based and low-impact workout. We have now purchased some shiny Spin bikes, which you will see parked up on your way into the gym. The staff at Train Together are putting their heads together and creating new and exciting Spin classes to start very soon (at no additional cost!).

At Train Together we are very lucky to have outdoor space and as the weather improves (fingers crossed!) we will start moving some of our classes back outside. We know people are missing the large tyre flipping and fresh air! Unfortunately, our weekly Zumba class didn’t take off so we have removed it from the time table and will replace it with something more popular. Oh, and whoever asked for the extra dumbbells and a pull-up bar in the weights room… They’re on their way!

We care a lot about our members and we run our gym around them. After all, your gym should be all about you! If you want something changing, adding or improving please let us know and don’t wait for the next survey results – if it’s doable, we’ll always try our best! 🙂
